Are you concerned about the quality of today’s food choices? Does the increasing cost of food make you wonder what other choices are available? Foraging for food may be part of your answer and it might be in your own backyard.
Join Karen Stephenson, a wild food educator, herbalist, author and a certified Master Naturalist (Lakehead University) on Wednesday, August 31/22 at 10am via ZOOM. Karen will share her passion for teaching people about healthy eating by integrating common weeds into our daily diets. She will also share how local wild plants can be beneficial to our immune systems. Who knew that dandelion leaves are not only great in salads but also that the flowers are edible and full of vitamins and minerals?
This is a free presentation but please register to attend. Registration deadline is Sunday August 28/22 at 5pm. If after registering you find that you are unable to attend, please let the organizer know. The ZOOM link will be sent to those who are registered the day before the presentation.
