“Our vision is to be known as East Africa’s safest, most reliable and trusted specialty transport and logistics company”
Imagine being asked to run a trucking company on a continent where transportation and logistics represent 40-60% of goods sold, where drivers experience long delays and trucks spend up to 40% of their time waiting, and where truck utilization can be as low as 10%.
These were just some of the challenges that Bob Paterson, who began his career with Imperial Oil, took on when asked by the owner of Roy Hauliers, a trucking company based in Kenya, to become their CEO after retiring from ExxonMobil.
Join us via Zoom on Wednesday, March 9, at 10:00 am when Bob will tell us how he went about pursuing this vision and some of the challenges that he encountered. The Zoom room will open at 9:30. This is a “free” event to members but you need to register using the form below. Registration deadline is 5pm on March 4, 2022. The Zoom link will be sent to those who are registered the day before the event. Please advise the organizer if you register but are then unable to attend the session.
You can find a document on how to use Zoom here.
