Parkwood Estate was the residence of Samuel McLaughlin, the founder of General
Motors of Canada and was home to the McLaughlin family from 1917 until 1972.
The residence was designed by Darling and Pearson, a noted Toronto architectural
firm, with construction starting in 1916.
Led by knowledgeable and friendly guides, you will experience the estate, as guests of
the McLaughlin Family once did, as you wander through luxurious interiors and learn
about the nationally significant architecture and original furnishings, artwork and
artifacts.
In addition, you will have an opportunity to visit the 11 acres of beautifully landscaped
gardens at no extra charge.
You are invited you to join us afterwards at 12:45 pm for an informal luncheon at
Teddy’s Restaurant and Deli. Teddy’s is located a 5-minute drive from Parkwood, so this will give you time to briefly tour the gardens. If you are interested in joining us for lunch, please check the appropriate box in the reservation form. Please note that participants will be responsible for their own tab. Here is the link to the restaurant website for their menu: https://teddysoshawa.com/
Please note that the deadline for booking is July 14th
