We’ll Meet Again

A nostalgic musical celebration featuring unforgettable songs of the war years, spanning World War I to World War II. With an entertaining mix of memorable music, clever comedy, and stirring drama, We’ll Meet Again serenades audiences with everything from morale-boosting melodies and lovelorn ballads, to jukebox jives and high-energy swing tunes.

Don’t miss this “sentimental journey” through a hit parade of wartime classics including “Oh! What a Lovely War,” “Keep the Home Fires Burning,” “The White Cliffs of Dover,” “Pack Up Your Troubles In Your Old Kit Bag (And Smile, Smile, Smile),” “Don’t Sit Under The Apple Tree,” “You Made Me Love You,” “In The Mood,” the famous title song, and many many more.

When we arrive in St. Jacobs, we will stop for a visit at the St. Jacobs Farmers’ Market where every week, hundreds of vendors bring Ontario’s farm-fresh foods, crafts, imported goods and most things imaginable.

At 11:15 a.m. we will be driven to the quaint village of St Jacobs where we will have lunch at Jacob’s Grill.

When registering you choose from:

• Market Greens with grapes, carrots, radish, white balsamic vinaigrette, OR

three main course options

• Lemon garlic chicken with herb roasted potatoes, butter glazed carrots, savoury gravy, OR
• Crispy pork schnitzel, German potato salad, braised cabbage, grainy mustard, OR
• Fettuccine with seasonal vegetables in a roasted red pepper and tomato cream sauce

For dessert we’ll have some of the Stone Crock Bakery’s famous Dutch apple pie with whipped cream. Coffee, tea and soft drinks are included but wine will be at your own expense.

After lunch you may have time to explore some of the shops in St. Jacobs before heading into the Schoolhouse Theatre to see “We’ll Meet Again.” The Theatre is right in town at 11 Albert Street almost directly across the street from the restaurant.  

We should wrap up at about 4:30pm and arrive back in Toronto between 6:00-6:30PM.

Our chartered bus will be departing from Clatworthy Arena at 8:30 a.m. sharp. There will be a secondary pick-up point, about 30 mins later, at Exit 328 of Hwy 401 (Trafalgar Road), north side. The pickup point is at the northern corner of Trafalgar Road and Steeles Ave (just behind the Shell Station).  Clatworthy Arena is located in the northeast quadrant of the Leslie and John Street intersection.  Entrance to the arena (2400 John Street) is from the north side of John Street, just east of Leslie Street. We anticipate arriving back in Toronto between 6:00-6:30pm.

The number of attendees is limited to the bus size (56) although self-drive tickets are available.
