Canadian Trade Policy in the Modern World

Canadian Trade Policy in the Modern World

11 March 2026

Cost: FREE to our members
Organizer: John Della Mora jmora8641@rogers.com

Come join us on March 11th at 10:00AM for an interesting discussion with Adam Chapnick as he shares his extensive knowledge and perspectives regarding Canadian Trade Policy.  As a professor of defence studies at the Royal Military College of Canada (RMC) and Deputy Director of Education at the Canadian Forces College, he teaches courses in Canadian foreign policy and strategic decision-making at the federal level. Outside of the college, he lectures about Canadian politics, Canadian-American relations and international security.

He is an award-winning author and regular commentator in the public realm. He has appeared as a foreign policy expert on Canadian news channels, and has testified as an expert witness before The Standing Senate Committee on National Security and Defence and the Standing Senate Committee on Foreign Affairs and International Trade.

Adam will discuss the current situation as he sees it for Canada and its relationships in the Modern World. This is very timely with Canada broadening trade beyond the United States, renewing our focus on developing resources for export and at the same time ramping up defence spending. I’m sure that you will have many questions for Mr. Chapnick.

The registration deadline is 5pm on Sunday March 8th.

One day before the event, Zoom details will be sent to those who have registered. The session opens at 9:30AM to allow some time to get settled. Our club actively sponsors this event and your participation is valued so please let us know by email (members@eactn.ca) if your plan to attend changes.
