Come join us on March 13th at 10:00AM via Zoom for an interesting discussion with Adam Chapnick as he shares his extensive knowledge and perspectives regarding Canada and its role in the world in this current century.

Mr. Chapnick knows of what he speaks. As a professor of defence studies at the Royal Military College of Canada (RMC) and Deputy Director of Education at the Canadian Forces College, he teaches courses in Canadian foreign policy and strategic decision-making at the federal level. Outside of the college, he lectures about Canadian politics and international security.

He is the award-winning author or editor of eight books and over 50 academic essays and book chapters on historical and contemporary issues in Canadian foreign relations and Canadian-American relations.

He is also a regular commentator in the public realm having had a weekly on-line column on national politics for the Toronto Star. His commentaries have also been published in the Globe and Mail, the National Post, the Ottawa Citizen, and the Calgary Herald.  He has appeared as a foreign policy expert on Canadian new channels,  and has testified as an expert witness before The Standing Senate Committee on National Security and Defence and the Standing Senate Committee on Foreign Affairs and International Trade.

Adam will discuss the current situation as he sees it for Canada and its relationship in a 21st century world.  In the complex world that we live in today, with complex relationships and situations on many fronts –  India, China, Israel/Palestine, Russia/Ukraine and of course our neighbours to the south, I’m sure that you will have many questions for Mr Chapnick.

To get the juices flowing on what I’m sure will be a very interesting discussion, I encourage you to submit your questions in advance in the remarks section of the registration form below.

The registration deadline is 5pm on Sunday March 10th.

One day before the event, Zoom details will be sent to those who have registered. The Zoom session will open up at 9:30AM to allow some time to chat before the session.

You can find a document on how to use Zoom here.

The session is free of charge to our members. However, there is a cost to the Club. We kindly request that you let us know if you cannot attend after you have registered by sending an email to members@eactn.ca or directly to John Della Mora at jmora8641@rogers.com
