The Esso Annuitant Club Toronto North is excited to announce its spring theatrical bus trip to the Stratford Theatre.

Jean-Michel and Anne are deeply in love and about to get married. The only problem is their parents. Anne’s father is a politician and head of the Tradition, Family and Morality Party. Jean-Michel was raised by his two fathers, Georges, a drag club owner, and Albin, the club’s star performer. Before the wedding occurs the two couples must be introduced. The ensuing clash unravels truth and consequences with heartwarming grace.

Winner of 11 Tony Awards and two Oliviers, La Cage aux Folles was also adapted into the hit blockbuster movie The Birdcage, starring Nathan Lane and Robin Williams.

This is a popular event with long lead times to ensure that all those interested can be accommodated. As a result registrations must close early. Please don’t delay signing up!

8:00 am      Bus pick-up location #1: Clatworthy Arena
~8:30 am    Bus pick-up location #2: Trafalgar Rd & Steeles Ave (behind Shell Station).
10:30 am    Explore Stratford and shop!
11:30 am    Luncheon at the Revival House Restaurant, then walk or bus to the theatre                     (5 min walk)
2:00 pm      Avon Theatre “La Cage Aux Folles”
~6:30 pm   Return to Clatworthy.

When registering you choose from:

Appetizer: Roasted Red Pepper Bisque, or, Revival Greens local greens, cucumber, heirloom tomato, sweet bell peppers, red onion, dijon vinaigrette
Main: Braised Beef Penne, wild mushrooms, roasted tomatoes, local Chèvre, sweet roasted bell pepper, spinach, or, Chicken Supreme, roasted root vegetable, mash potato, herb jus, or, Risotto wild mushrooms, sweet peas, arborio rice, shallot, parmesan, white wine butter
Dessert: Flourless Chocolate Cake berry compote (same for all guests)
Coffee and tea are included but wine will be at your own expense.

Our chartered bus will be departing from Clatworthy Arena at 8:00 a.m. sharp. There will be a secondary pick-up point, about 30 mins later, at Exit 328 of Hwy 401 (Trafalgar Road), north side. The pickup point is at the northern corner of Trafalgar Road and Steeles Ave (just behind the Shell Station).  Clatworthy Arena is located in the northeast quadrant of the Leslie and John Street intersection.  Entrance to the arena (2400 John Street) is from the north side of John Street, just east of Leslie Street. We anticipate arriving back in Toronto between around 6:30p.m.

You will only receive a response from our Registrar if there is an issue with your registration information or payment. After the registration deadline, the event organizer will send a reminder notification to all those registered.
